Jean Kay is a poet who has been creating poems for special occasions for many years.

To order a poem for a birthday, wedding, anniversary, graduation, retirement, memorial or just to honour someone special in your life, contact Jean at . The minimum cost is $30.00, which can be prepaid by cheque or through PayPal.

Jean has been writing in the first half hour of every morning since August of 1993, and it has been a poem every morning since October of 1997.

Jean has poems in several anthologies including Handprints on the Future, a Canadian Poetry Association Anthology. Each month for the past four years Jean has had a poem published in a monthly newsletter. Reciting at various functions is always a pleasurable way for Jean to share the inspirational messages in her poetry. She has also been invited into classrooms on several occasions to share her writing skills with potential young poets. An article Jean wrote, entitled "Peace Begins with Me," was published in Science of Mind magazine.

After taking early retirement from Air Canada (Canadian Airlines Sales Events Coordinator) Jean is now in "refirement". Her new adventure is teaching computer courses on cruise ships. This also gives her the opportunity to explore other parts of the world and to meet many new people who are potential readers.

Jean is currently the 2008-2009 Vice-President of the Vancouver Branch, as well as assuming the responsibility for Programs. She was the 2006-2007 Publicity Chair, and earlier was the Facilities Coordinator for the 2004 CAA National Conference held in Vancouver. Jean is also a member of the Canadian Poetry Association.
