In the course of a riveting adventure novel, the reader is introduced through flashbacks to the history of land claims in British Columbia.
This second edition of this book is extremely timely as treaty negotiations are being expedited by two levels of gover Gordon Campbell in the June 16, 2005 Throne Speech promised that: "We will forge new relations with First Nations found in reconciliation, recognition and respect of Aboriginal Rights and Title."
Without some knowledge of the efforts of coastal tribes to obtain land treaties since 1854, ordinary British Columbians will not fully understand the issues involved.
