J. Gordon Mumford

Welcome to the Author's Website
Gordon enjoys giving book readings to libraries, schools, writers' groups and other organizations. He enhances his talks with transparencies and 35mm slides to support and add interest. He is also available to lead workshops on writing memoirs.
Although he has been writing most of his life, it is only since his retirement that Gordon Mumford started writing creative non-fiction, and he now has written five books:
- The Black Pit…and Beyond
- The Sampan Girl
- White Man's Drum
- Drums of Rebellion
- Dangerous Waters
A member of the Vancouver Branch of the Canadian Authors Association since 2001, Gordon has been Branch secretary and served on the initial 2004 Conference committee. He also belongs to the Federation of BC Writers. He is a long-time member of both the Burnaby Writers' Society, and West End Writers' Club, and has held several executive positions in the latter two organizations.
