Welcome to the Author's Website
Bernice Lever, now living on Bowen Island, Bc, gets "high" on words. In addition to her 9th poetry book, GENERATION (Black Moss, 2009), she has written an English textbook and other prose works. She has read her poems on 5 continents, yet still enjoys performing her words. Best known as an editor of WAVES, a literary magazine, 1972–1987, she has won awards for her poems, including the Wm. She is involved with local and international writing groups. With CAA, Bernice is national Grievance and Contracts chair, BC V.P. and PLR representative.
In 2006, she was named Writer-in-Residence for CAA's Vancouver Branch and in 2008, also with Ottawa Branch. Her rates and routines for her editing and marketing advice for members and non-members are posted. Bernice believes in "Writers Helping Writers," so she likes aiding others to get published.
