Anthony Dalton

At the 2007 conference, Anthony was elected to the position of Vice-President of the National Branch of the Canadian Authors Association, and also chairs the Awards Cjommittee. He had been the 2006-2007 President of the Vancouver Branch of the Canadian Authors Association. He has been writing non-fiction adventure and nautical articles for magazines and newspapers for over 25 years. During that time his fully illustrated feature articles have been published in 20 countries and 9 languages. A former expedition leader, based in West Africa and the Middle East, he is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Fellow of the Explorers Club.
Although he continues to write for magazine publishers in Asia and the Middle East, Anthony now spends most of his writing hours working on books. He is the author of three hardcover books of the sea, plus two e-books, and was photo editor of Gregory Jones's Herreshoff Sailboats for MBI Publishing in 2005.

Anthony enjoys talking about his books and his work as a writer. In recent years he has addressed audiences at The New York Yacht Club, The Larchmont (NY) Yacht Club, the Vancouver International Boat Show, the Toronto International Boat Show, The New Bedford Whaling Museum (New Bedford, Mass.), The Canadian Wildlife Federation, The Greater Edmonton Teachers' Convention, The Canadian Authors Association, The Vancouver Public Library, as well as at writers' associations and conferences in England, the USA and Canada. In addition he is always happy to speak at schools and regional libraries.

Anthony was co-chair of the Canadian Authors Association National Conference in Vancouver in 2004. He is a member of the Federation of BC Writers.
