Victoria poet laureate Linda Rogers has taught at UBC, Uvic, Camosun College, Malaspina College and at conferences all over the world.

Her work, the written part of which has been translated into a dozen languages, includes poetry, fiction, non-fiction, songwriting, editing, teaching and broadcasting. She writes lyrics for several bands and choirs.

Rogers, married to blues mandolinist Rick van Krugel, has four children and four grandchildren. Her extended family includes children in South Africa, Haiti and the streets of Victoria.

Rogers' most recent books are Muscle Memory, poetry and The Third Day Book, fiction. An arts writer for Focus Magazine, she is currently compiling an anthology of Victoria poetry and visual art called Framing the Garden.
